Stud?

I KNOW I am a bit biased but I think he may be kind of a STUD!!! :) (do people even use that word anymore? hmmm, well I just did!!) Not the best pictures, but he is difficult to get to stay in one spot, especially AFTER church!!I could not resist trying to get a few pictures. I want to remember him in his cute little tie so when he is 16 and a gross, stinky, teenage boy, maybe I wont strangle him! :)

**his first "real" tie! no more of that clip on garbage! :)**

You Should Check This Out!

So my awesome older sister, Heidi started this blog....
Heidi has her masters degree in education, has taught school, and is now a stay at home mom. She has always been a huge reader (like she would finish a book in a day) that took me 2 weeks to read! She has always been my
go to person for help with writing papers (even to this day, she is currently proofreading my research paper),
almost any thing I know about writing has been a random rule she has taught me (for example "Robyn professors hate when you use the word very!"). She has been the one to give me all the advice and research on reading to Hayden. Thanks to her Steve and I have read to Hayden every day since he was about 2 months old. She has given me tons of books and even more really great advice! So what I am trying to say is she is really qualified, but
even more helpful. So if you have kids, or going to have kids, or hang out with kids, you will want to put her blog on your google reader account, or check it out when you can. She does posts on what books to buy, what books are good for boys, what books are good chapter books, what books to read aloud, and other stuff like art projects for kids and all that jazz! Anyway I am so glad she finally started this blog! I have been wanting her
to do it for so long!!

P.S If you have questions about any kids books, or are wondering what books to get for your kid(s), I am sure she can give you advice on that if you leave a comment on her blog, even if you don't know her. I know for me its nice to know what books are worth buying, what ones are not, and what ones to keep my eye for that I am going to want to have for Hayden later on (and this is the kind of stuff she knows!)....I am going to bug her to do a post on the best board books to buy, and where to buy the cheapest ones (cause books are so dang expensive!)

P.P.S The other thing Heidi introduced me to last week, a web site called http://www.goodreads.com/ I LOVE it! It is kind of like facebook but for reading! If you are a reader you should check it out, then add me
as a friend! I think it is so cool to be able to keep track of the books you have read, want to read
and get reviews on books from your friends! check it out!

Halloween

What kind of mom would I be if I didn't do a Halloween post! So here it is, even though it is kind of old hat by now!! :) We had a great Halloween this year! We had pumpkin pancakes hung out with family and then went to the U game. It was Hayden's first game and I was a little worried about how it would go. Luckily it was really fun and Hayden had a blast! Not much trick-or-treating (but to be honest I don't feel too bad about that, its not my favorite and there will be plenty of years that he will actually get it, that he can go!) but it was a great weekend! I did not get too many pictures, and most of them are from my phone! But I thought he made a pretty cute skeleton! (It glows in the dark!! ha ha ha!)

After the game! eating a little cheese before bed! :)
packed in tight at the game!
A skeleton bum!!! Ah ha ha ha!! (ok I thought this was really funny, so sue me!!)
It was a kick in the pants when it got dark and he glowed! :)

Just Because...

Just Because.....

I am head over heels for this kid!!! He just makes me smile, and that makes me feel pretty dang lucky! (except when he is dropping cereal down the heat vent! then I am just mad!**I blame him if I get bad grades, He is just a lot more fun than lame-o homework! Don't worry dad, I still make time for some homework!

Pick'n Our Pumpkins

Oh how I love Fall!!
Thanks Steve-o for putting up with
me and all of my fall craziness!!
(I may have dragged him to over
5 different places to find the best
pumpkin frozen yogurt!)

We hit up a cute little green house with
just the right amount of pumpkins!

He he he! I said it was little! Thanks for
being a good sport Steve-o!! :)

He ran away from this like one second later, totally
freaked out!! he he he!
such a boy!! :)
His Pumpkin!
Love this kid! So glad I have a partner
in my endless fall adventures!

(next on the list...Einsteins pumpkin poppers, and the
petting zoo! If you have any great fall adventures
or lets be honest fall treats please share! Steve-o will
really appreciate it! he he he!) :)

LESS TALK, MORE ACTION

Anyone who knows me, knows sometimes I talk too much!! (Ok
almost always!) Sometimes after I have been out with someone
I get home and think, did I even let them say anything! (sorry Ambs
I did that to you last week!) Anywho, my point is, We all know
I talk too much! So when I blog this becomes a problem as well. I
always have to tell way too much of the story and can never narrow
down my pictures. A post ends up taking me forever, so I don't post as
much because I don't always have hours to devote to my blog.
So my new goal, less talk, more action! Quicker shorter posts!
Wish me luck!! Many a teacher has unsuccessfully tried
to get me to stop talking! (I spent a lot of time in the wet room!) You should have seen
my citizen ship grades! :)

A man after my own Heart!!
his first mini Big Gulp
(Don't worry its only Sprite!)

Another one of Otis!
What a great dog!
Ody, thanks for keeping Hayd entertained
so many hours a day, letting him step on you
with only a semi mean growl, and picking
up everything he drops on the floor so I
only have to vacuum every other
stinking day, instead of everyday!
You are our best Friend!!

Vegas....

We are ALIVE! It has been a while, I have a little catching up to do! First up...
--VEGAS--
Over conference weekend we decided to go visit Steve's parents!
It was so nice to get to spend some time with family! However, Hayd was
sort of a monster! After nearly destroying a priceless [glass] heirloom
the first day, we tried to spend more time outside! Which left a lot of
time for picture taking-hence the mountain of photos below!

He LOVED the piano! He would take off running to it any chance he got!
(which happens to be in the same room as the near broken statue! UGH!)

I just thought this was funny!
yeah, I'm pretty artistic! Ha ha ha!! NOT!
what a goofball!!
(Thank heavens for their penned in courtyard!)

Grams!
Ohhhh!
A little melt down!
The Fam!

We had a great trip, loved me some IN-'N-OUT, BJ's fantastic cheeseburger pizza (thanks Wendy!) warm weather, and the drive went really well thanks to Handy Manny on the
Ipod! (yesh, I AM that mom that lets her kid watch TV!) :)
THANKS DAVE & WENDY!!

We may not have made conference watching real enjoyable of Steve's parents
though! Hopefully we did not ware our welcome out, because we are
supposed to go back for 10 days over Christmas!
I am welcoming ANY and ALL suggestions on how to keep an almost 2 year old
from touching the Christmas tree (that has very fragile ornaments), throwing food
during dinner, hitting, touching the TV buttons, or for that matter
having to touch EVERYTHING!!!
(On the bright side he did go to bed at 6 every night so
I can not complain too much, right?!)

(At least during Christmas the adult ratio will be 6 to 1! I am
counting on you Rob and Jess!!)

The Od!!

OTIS!
And just so no one feels left out I am giving a shout out
to my AWESOME dog!! He is our best friend, and
Hayd's favorite playmate!! (Although Otis may prefer a different
playmate, considering Hayden makes him cry daily!)

He was a little shaggy, and way too hot but I love
his hair long! Love this guy!!

Party on the Farm!!

Last weekend we had a big picnic with all the fam to celebrate my
cute grandparents 60th anniversary at the one, and only, Wheeler
Farm!! It actually worked out really well with a group that big! We
took the little kids to check out the animals, and of course took a ton
of pictures! but now I am feeling like a real jerk cause I really did not
get any pictures of my grandparents(or really any one
besides the kiddos!!) Boo on me!
Sorry for the picture overload!!

the Cousins

this crazy goat was going to town on Graydens shirt!!
It was crazy hot, so Hayd's face was bright red! And he
taste tested a few rocks, so don't mind the dirt!!

Hayden LOVES to be with my mom! And for such a moma's
boy, it is really nice to watch him prefer to be with someone
else! :) My mom is so great with the kids! She walked them all
over and helped them see and pet all the animals!

It was a really fun evening, we got to spend some good quality
time with the family! Now I really need to get a new camera charger
I am runnin on fumes!! :)

Build A Bear

The other day we had planned a trip to the zoo, and of course
it was a day that there was a down poor just as we got into the
car! So we decided to hit up Build A Bear. He may be a touch
young still to totally appreciate it, but he seemed to have a good
time. (I may or may not have encouraged him to pick the one I liked!)

(oops, loaded the pictures in the wrong order. They are last to first)

Lets be honest, the box was as big of a hit as the dog!

A little love on the drive home :)

The "doggy Bath" (pretty sure Hayd thought I was an idiot
but oh well, right!)
Getting stuffed!! He thought it was pretty cool, but from a few feet back!
He may have tried to stuff in a few extra hearts! :)

Good times!!

TOO FAR BEHIND!!

Too Far Behind.....

Ok clearly it has been a while!! I feel like I am too far behind to
catch up!! So I doubt I will!!! ha! We have had lots of fun this
summer! We moved, (which was not fun!)but I think we are
finally setteled and
really enjoying our new neighborhood! It is SO fun to not be
in the HOOD!! (or at least we are in a better hood now!) :)
Some how in the move I lost my camera charger! So my camera
ran out of juice, so I have not taken many pictures over the
summer! It has been killing me to not have my camera! But,
the other day I bummed off my bro-in-laws charger for a few
min! And got a little juice back, and could not help myself! I
took a load of pictures of Mr Hayd! :) So here are a few! Since
I know no one wants to read a post with no pictures!! :) I have got
to get a new charger ASAP!!! Sorry this is such a random post
I just had to start somewhere, right!?

And now...I am honestly just dieing for FALL!!! I am sorry
to all you summer lovers, but I can hardly wait!! With the little
taste of chilly air last week, it just made me want it even more!
I LOVE fall!! I feel like I come alive in fall! Just think, pumpkins,
leaves, hot chocolate, Halloween, apples, no sun screen, soup, long sleeves,
you can go outside when ever and not melt, pumpkins, pumpkins, and
did I say pumkins!! Baah, I love it!! SO please send your fall karma out
there with me!!! yay!!

the park

My Parents are out of town so we are watching their dog Gus!
Hayden is loving having 2 play mates to chase and torture! We
decided we had better get them all out to play before they went
too stir crazy, so we hit up our favorite school!

Hayd is getting better at the slide!
Before-
During-
After!
Ha ha ha! I thought it was kind of funny!

And the beasts tired and bonding after the park!
What a perfect mothers day! I am feeling real lucky
to have such a great examples of mom's all around
me and to have such a cute husband and son who
take such good care of me and made my day great!
Happy Mothers day!

Wow! that was a lot! Sorry if it was overload but I can check that off my to do list now! :)

Now I just need to change my background! But that is too much for now! (plus let's be honest
Steve-o is asleep and I know I will mess it up if I try to do it alone!) so enjoy the snow for a
little while longer! :)

Random

Is this a problem?

One of Hayden's new favorite things to do is put stuff
over his head, such as his owl, or a bucket and take off
until he runs into something and crashes! Hmm..not sure
what that means!
Just a random wave! Some days I just sit and
laugh at this kid!

Well when you live in the hood, you gotta make do with what
you got! ha ha ha! Hayden and I probably look a little weird
sitting out on the sidewalk and playing in the dirt, and writing
with our sidewalk chalk! But thanks to a little car trouble I have
not had a car and I just don't dare go out of our gates into the ghetto
alone! Ok so I may be exaggerating but I really don't dare just walk
our neighborhood!

So we have fun in the gates! :) Hayden is a great rock finder!
(I know he must be brillant!) he he he!
His first Art project!
Sometimes when we are lucky we crash my sister Wendy's house
and use her backyard!
Jumping on the trampoline with his cousins! I think he really
enjoyed it! he he he!
And on one really good day a few weeks ago we met my parents at our favorite
school playground! My mom even introduced Hayden to his first real slide and got
Gus and Hayden to go down! Now he is loving the slide!
